Nine years later, in 2019, the population has risen to 177,603 (a reference to the 2019 estimated population report of the United States Census Bureau). Rancho Cucamonga is, therefore, ranked as the fourth most populous city in San Bernardino County, 26th in California, and 145th in the United States. It has a population density of 4,427.79/sq mi (1,709.57/km2).
